GAG: Ask the spectator to produce a penny and ask
them if they can find four different things on it.
The first question is “Can you find the reference to a car?” Answer: Lincoln
The second question is “Can you find the reference to a snake?” Answer: Copperhead
The third question is “Can you find the reference to a fruit?” Answer: A date
The last question is “Where’s the naked lady?” Let them think on this one for a while before saying, “What do you expect for a penny?”
Here’s another good penny joke:
After tucking in their four year-old child to bed, his parents hear sobbing coming from his room. Rushing back in, they find him crying hysterically. He manages to tell them that he has swallowed a penny and that he is sure to die. No amount of talking or consoling seems to convince him otherwise. Finally, his father, in an attempt to calm him down, palms a penny from his own pocket and pretends to pull it from his son’s ear. The little boy giggles in delight. In a flash, the youngster snatches the coin from his father’s hand, swallows it, and cheerfully demands, “Do it again, Dad!“
