The Unsinkable Titanic Thompson- book

The Unsinkable Titanic Thompson by Carlton Stowers is probably my favorite book that I've ever read.  This tale of the great Ty Thompson recounts many of his legendary propositional bets.  It gives insight as to how he got his name; Titanic comes from his jumping over a pool table (longways) and his last name Thompson followed after his suspicion of murder to Arnold Rothstein who fixed the 1919 World Series of Baseball. Learn how he conned Al Capone, why he killed five men is self-defense and how he beat the best of the best at their own games.  He was a scoundrel that you have to love for his audacity and cunning.  It's 234 pages of unbelievable stories revolving around poker, golf, horse-shoes, chess, etc.
